MishMash - Easter Picnic at the Lake
11 April 2009
Looking for a great way to celebrate Easter and welcome in the school holidays?
Bailey Clark and Ken Knight, producers and presenters of the highly popular tvCentral Children's show Mish Mash, sponsored by J.Swap Contractors Ltd, have organised the Mish Mash Easter Picnic, to be held at Hamilton Lake on Tuesday, April 14.
The picnic, which is free to all, will be aired on tvCentral as part of Mish Mash and will include entertainment such as Mica the Clown, a bouncy castle, face painting, free sausage sizzle and The Funky Monkeys, who Bailey says will be the highlight of the picnic.
"As the Funky Monkeys are such high profile New Zealand children’s entertainers, I am thrilled they could take time out of their busy schedule to come be part of the day. Chris, Mike and Joe are all fun and energetic guys and I know the children will really get into their act as I have seen before."
Bailey says the picnic is a way to celebrate Easter, but beyond that, is a great way for kids to become more than just viewers and actually have an active role in the show.
"Mish Mash receives feedback on a regular basis and we wanted an opportunity to say thank you to them and their parents for watching and being supportive to Waikato regional television. But more than that, Ken and I really wanted to reach the children on a personal level and give them all an opportunity to be on the show."
Spot Prizes will be up for grabs throughout the event, as well as a scavenger hunt and one major prize giveaway, which Bailey is keeping well under wraps until the day of the picnic.
Bailey says even with the buzz and excitement of the Hamilton 400, Hamilton businesses including Pack 'N' Save, More FM and Event Fun have been eager to be involved and support the picnic to make it a great event for all to enjoy.
The picnic is aimed at any children between the ages of 3-12-years and will be held at the Hamilton Lake from 12 till 2pm.
